GGC BPCR Silhouette Report April 2, 2022 Range located just east of Denver, Colorado
I want to tell you all, today was the best match we have had all year!!!! Okay!!! Full disclosure; We have been weathered out, snow, cold and the works, until today!
Fifteen of us showed up to shoot for the first time in 2022 with very cool air starting the day. Everyone was doubled bundled up to keep comfortable. That was the hard part but then the day got warmer and the mild winds got stronger and shifty! Overall, today was a wind coach’s test of ability and the scores showed it.
-All Scores Out Of a 40 Possible-
Shooting in the AA - A combined class Ed Himelhoch from Wyoming. He took first place with a 24 and 3 Chickens and, shooting into 2nd place with a score of 20, 8 Rams and a Chicken is Sacha Wolff.
In the AAA class 1st place shooting a strong 27 with 3 Chickens is Dan Womer. Then in 2nd place AAA shooting 21 is Doc. Bement. A little off topic, but it should be noted, if it wasn’t for Doc coming in early on match day and running the operations side of the event, we would not have a BPCR Match. Just saying…. Thanks Doc.
Our Master class and overall Match Winner shooting an even 30 with 2 Chickens is Jack Odor. Jack was coached by Dan Womer.
With the winds today, shooting offhand was harder than normal. As a result, the Chicken pool didn’t have a lot of score in it this month. Michael Rix, back to shooting iron sights on the old trusty Hepburn won the pool. It only took 4 Chickens to win it. Good thing too, as he shot 5 with one out of order scoring only 4. Those old eyes and iron sights are hard to line up on the right one!!!
Next month's match will be the first Saturday in May. I hope to see you there!
